Google's 2018 flagship smartphone now has a name!

Google has mistakenly leaked the name for its 2018 flagship smartphone. According to a code spotted on Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Google's next flagship phones will be called Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, which is in-line with the current naming scheme. The Pixel 3 will be launched somewhere around October this year.


Google Chrome comes up with a new emoji right-click shortcut

Google Chrome added a new shortcut to make adding emoji on desktop easier. It's currently on the testing channel Chrome Canary. Users can right-click to get to the emoji option and pull up the emoji options for Mac, Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS, depending on what operating system they're running. It may be released in the coming weeks.


YouTube releases a kids’ app curated by humans

YouTube is releasing an alternative version of its YouTube Kids app that will rely on human curation to sift through video content instead of an algorithm, according to Buzzfeed News. The whitelisted app will reportedly be available in a matter of weeks. Parents will apparently be able to choose between this human-curated version and the original.

Gang caught in China for smuggling iPhones using drones

A group of criminals were reportedly using drones to smuggle 500 million Yuan ($79.8 million) worth of smartphones from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. The authorities arrested 26 people who alleged used drones fly two 200-meter (660-feet) cables between Hong Kong and the mainland to transport refurbished iPhones with a total value of 500 million yuan.

Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ have been spotted at the FCC. The Galaxy A6 is believed to arrive with an Exynos 7860 SoC paired with 3GB RAM while the Plus variant could feature a Snapdragon 625 SoC and a larger 4GB RAM.
